I folded each Rosette with an octagon that I cut from a 12" (300 mm) square of scrapbook paper.
Lately, I've been folding a lot with scrapbook paper, particularly for decorative models, as there are a lot of patterns available to choose from. It's important to select the papers that are relatively thin (not the card stock type). Most of them fold very well, with no cracking, but you need to test them first.

Looking pretty challenging. I think for the time being i will stick to pretty and simple kusudamas. You do beautiful work. Karen
